oh and i hate crowds

it was SO crowded at vivocity yesterday (we reached there before 3pm)
oh btw O's company lunch was better than last year, but not that nice

i realized now i'm really bothered/annoyed by the crowds
simply too many people!!!! aarrrggghhh
i didn't even go to orchard to take all the photos of xmas decorations i said i wanted to take
been carrying the camera, but, really, i hate the crowds!
i didn't remember being so annoyed. i dun think it's the fact that i work at somerset now vs staying in the NUS hostel last time (thus was always very excited when going to orchard).
perhaps it really wasn't THAT crowded last time...

It's Xmas!

We went to Church of the Sacred Heart for the 12 noon mass today. Jess joined us for the mass, but didn't join our lunch after mass.

We went to Fish & Co. at the glass house for lunch.

Then to Tiong Bahru GV to watch "National Treasure: book of secrets". Nice.

Yesterday's "I am legend" a bit disappointing (the ending). Lotsa hearts stopping moments ugh.

O and I bought BBQ chicken from Giant after the movie, along with smoked salmon & sara lee cheese cake. And at home we still have the sour cream + spring onion dip, the walls ice cream tub. Bought sprite ice to mix with red wine and ice cubes (sharon's hubby's "recipe" 2 x'mases ago). Yummy!

Cheese cake + chocolate ice cream = super yummy.

Oh and lotsa gifts (mainly chocolates) from colleagues & bosses! Paiseh didn't give them any..

Once again, Merry X'mas everyone!

ice lemon tea & veggie with spring onion dip

believe it or not, today was the first time i ever made ice lemon tea from err, what else, tea, lemon, water, sugar and ice.

all this while, the closest i was to homemade ice lemon tea was instant packaged ice lemon tea mwahahahaha...

i think it needs more sugar, but less sugar is healthier, rite :p
everybody in the family is kinda sick, so less sugar is definitely better..

hmmm since most are sick, i dunno whether we're gonna have a feast for xmas eve/xmas...
O and I are gonna be watching "I Am Legend" tomorrow after his company's Xmas lunch (which I'm gonna be at least 1 hour late as I have to work till 1pm)

I also bought McCormick Spring Onion Dip to mix with sour cream, and veggies that I cut to stick-shape.. Err that website said that this product has been discontinued Jun'07!!!!! WTF!!!
Haiz.. I guess I have to try French Onion Dip/Ranch Dip/etc.

Already cut carrot, celery and yellow pepper (bought green & red pepper also, but a bit too much.. couldn't find cucumber just now..)

A Jazzy Christmas

Gonna watch a concert soon (at 7.30pm, Esplanade concert hall)!
Yesterday O suddenly asked whether wanna watch this concert, and by lunch time he already bought the ticket (VIP box!!) hee..

Gonna be a nice date :)

O has been having tonsilitis since last week, had high fever (39.5 degree!!). The fever hardly went down, only back to normal today.

I wanna go take photos of the Xmas decoration at Orchard before it's over! This year's deco is nice. Working at Somerset area doesn't mean I go to Orchard often enough mwahahahaha

Our family early Xmas gifts exchange

We had to do the gifts exchange earlier, coz some of them won't be around during Xmas.
We went to Changing Appetite at Marina Square. Already picked names some time ago (when we were at Bottle Tree Park). I got Sofi's name, and elder sis got mine.

But I still gave gifts to all of them, O too, elder sis too. Mom too.

Here are some of our food. Shared the golden blossom (onion ring with thousand island dip). O and I both had steak, not nice :(
The pork ribs are not bad, but I think cafe cartel's St. Louis pork ribs is still more delicious.
They have UOB promo, spend S$30 and get mudpie at 50% off

We met Karen & Chris before dinner, Karen gave me the nice little pink bag & chocolates (feel so bad didn't give her any gift *blushed*)

O gave me a maroon shawl with a pretty butterfly brooch *it's a miracle he could pick such thing mwahahaha*
The Little Twin stars showercap and card holder is from elder sis, AND so are the white things (this one from the gifts exchange)

TBS Xmas party

The party was held last Friday, 14 Dec, at Marriott Hotel.

I was in Tea Tree team, so we had to dress up in GREEN. And we did.

Our team won "best dressed team", 3rd for 1st game and 1st for 2nd game.

Not bad huh.

Some of the team didn't dress up in unison, they didn't discuss it at all.

It was fun, good food, great games.

motion sickness

ugh i hate motion sickness

i've been working SO late that i had to take cab, well, not to say really HAVE TO, but since i can claim cab after 9pm, why not... worked til 10.30pm last nite and 10pm just now..
i only left coz nobody else at the office and i'm really feeling very very very tired

but 90% of the time i'll get a motion sickness from cab-ride. sigh

motion sickness gives me headache and bloatedness and nausea
really hate it ughhhh

tomorrow is our office's xmas high-tea at marriott hotel, it said 3-5pm at first, but now we have to reach there from 2.15pm and might end at 6pm.
it should be fun as there are games and theme for each group
our group (tea tree) has something fun prepared, hopefully it turns out good (or the best so we can win the prizes hee)

will post photos for sure!

some movies

watched "The Invisible" on DVD last Sat. it's about a guy who was in a coma and his spirit wonders around and only a gal can hear him and help him to be awake from the coma.
i dun really like it..

Sat evening movie date with O, watched "The Heartbreak Kid" at Plaza Singapura. Nice :D

Sunday afternoon watched "The Golden Compass" with O, yos and mom at Jurong Point. Eeeee I dun like. So boring, AND it hangs in the air.. I didn't know there's a part 2 for this. Hmppphh

manicure + pedicure

it's been more than 2 months since i last pampered my hand and feet hee... since i still had 3 sets left from my package at Flaunt, decided to go yesterday after work (for once i forced myself to leave work at 6 sharp mwahahaha).

The last appointment is at 6.30pm coz they close at 8pm, so I rushed there (grand plaza park hotel shopping arcade). This is the 1st time i went there (they used to be at mandarin hotel shopping centre).

The new location is kinda inconvenient, but the new place is so much nicer than last time!!

I decided to do a dark maroon color and add the below stickers on my 2 big toes, cost S$3 each toe *sigh* but it's so nice, gold is festive :p

now i only have 2 sets left from the package, but the UOB promo had ended in Oct, so can't sign up for the cheap package anymore... but the available packages are also quite cheap

i was thinking to switch to nail palette that i went that time coz they're also cheaper than most places and it's at centrepoint and service is good, plus for french tip, only S$3 while at flaunt it's S$5

both places will never force you to sign up package or add this add that, really comfortable!

i signed up the package because i read it on UOB newsletter, they didn't even offer me

good good good

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

but flaunt packages are cheaper...

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

anyway, still have 2 sets left, will decide next year then :p

High school musical 2

Hmm not as great as the 1st one. I simply luv the "high school musical", so kinda disappointed with the 2nd one. But some songs are still nice though hee hee
and of course Zac is as cute :p

Bro rented it last week..
I think I wanna rent the 1st one again as I missed some beginning part when it was on TV..

Bottle Tree Park

I've visited the website before (stumbled upon it from some web to other web to another web) anyway. The website doesn't do justice to the actual place!!

We went there last Sunday, supposed to go for fishing (yos & the guys, NOT me, not interested), but it's S$35 from 8am-5pm, and it was already like 3 or 4pm, so not worth it.
Yos ended up prawning though, and he got ONE prawn mwahahaha

The place is gorgeous!
Just a 10-minute walk from Khatib MRT station.
