Friday plan
6.30pm: manicure + pedicure
8.30pm: dinner with O - suddenly thought of No Signboard at Esplanade, because O said wanna go Max Brenner's chocolate bar after dinner (of course, he won't remember the name, he only said "to have the chocolate drink at Esplanade that we had last time")

Yayyyyy

Why am I so sleepy?
Hmmmmm
Overslept today, woke up at 8am. Took cab (bloody S$16.50) with O at around 8.35am.
Whole day feel sleepy...
Is it the wine??
I met up with some ex-WMG-ers last nite, last minute arrangement, but as long as all are willing, no problem to meet, rite? (some people just really do not want to put an effort to meet). Had dinner at food republic Suntec, then shared a bottle of red wine (shiraz?) at Paulaner.

Nice chit chat session, haven't met for more than 3 months! Exchanged many stories hee hee..

Hmmmmmm
Sleepy BUT so many TV shows tonite... oh 2 only, but I'm now watching "I Not Stupid Too" DVD.. Prison Break at 10.30 and Law & Order SVU at 11.30

LOVE money
*note to self: remember to search what LOVE stands for (again)*

I kept forgetting, it's basically a yearly allowance of S$500 (taxable) for our well-being. We can choose to learn something, or have a massage, foot reflexology, etc., but not to enhance our appearance, thus facial, manicure+pedicure are out.

I might take a massage package or something, not sure. Next year most probably I'll take a diving course. This year's schedule is already packed haha although I'm only going to Lombok and Australia, people seem to think that we keep travelling.

*update on 26 Jun'07, 10.09PM, while watching CSI - quite a gross episode*

So, LOVE stands for (Learning is Of Value to Everyone)
Hmmm what should I use it for??

The Company is committed to supporting individual development and encouraging everyone to learn new skills, and stay fit and healthy for work. The Company will pay up to S$500 a year for you to attend a course, evening class, fitness suite or other establishment that enables you to try something new whilst either learning or keeping fit.
We can't use it for something academic (i.e. diploma courses), but can be used for learning a new language. The lesson must be at least a course of three.
Hmmm cooking lesson? Make-up (personal)?
Haiz nvm, will think of it after Lombok trip (which is in 11 days YAYYYY)

My 2nd brazilian wax
Do you have any idea how many gals wanna do a brazilian wax in Singapore, in particular at STRIP? Let me tell you the answer: PLENTY.
I called 5 outlets today (Wheelock didn't pick up, and Holland V is too inconvenient). Only the one at Raffles City shopping centre had a slot for me at 7.30pm. The rest 4 outlets were all fully-booked! Wow.
Err I'm suprised because even though magazines have an article about waxing every now and then, nobody I know did it or dares to do it. NONE. ZERO.
Me, well, I'm always a quite spontaneous gal, like when deciding to perm hair (which, btw, has lasted almost 11 months hee, & received many compliments), when trying for the 1st brazilian, including when quitting 2 previous jobs w/o a new job? hahaha

So, really, it's not as painful as you'd imagine. I opted for a hard wax 1st time round (supposed to be less painful) coz I was a lil' scared and it was 50% off btw, so why not. Just now I opted for a normal wax, which is truly worth it coz the striperella (the lady who does the waxing, yes, that's what Strip calls them), uses hard wax for the sensitive area anyway.
Including at butt crack mwahahaha.
Was a bit shy to blog about my 1st Brazilian wax coz I was thinking, I put my blog address on MSN, many people will read. But now, I'm like, realizing that I don't meet 90% of the people from MSN & friendster list. So, why bother? And anyway, I'm really suggesting gals to do it!!!
It's totally worth it hee hee, specially married gals :p
I think now STRIP has 20% off for 1st timer. Go gals go :D

Inoel's farewell dinner
He's migrating to NZ in 5 days time. Thus, 13 of us gather at New York New York for his farewell dinner.

This is my 2nd time eating there. O & I shared a pork lasagna (S$10.90++) and hawaiian pizza (S$12.90++). Both are so nice!!! The lasagna is so cheesy, and pizza actually has quite a generous toppings!

And then 5 of us shared this stampede sundaes for 4 which contains 6 scoops of ice creams and a few oreo & whipped cream & marshmallow & strawberries

Will post photos of people once people upload and share haha coz I didn't bring my camera. The above was taken with my hp.

O & I went to Marina Square earlier, and he bought sony alpha digital SLR!!!
Can't wait to play with it hee

A nice Saturday
I didn't sleep until as late as usual *blush* coz Mama & Yos were going to JKT, so we had brunch at home before they left.
We didn't send them to the airport though, it's only a 1 week trip haha.
O & I were going to Buangkok station to see the HDB flats that we hope to get this time round.
Thus, we went to Kovan 1st, for the FOX sale (at Wing Tai)!!! *grin*

My colleague fwd me the flyer yesterday, it's actually not only Fox, but topshop, topman, dorothy perkins as well. But the sale started since 12 Jun. Thus, I was worried that nothing much'd be left.
And it's true, mostly gone, but Fox still a lot (Fox kids & baby as well, but not Fox men)

Here are my buys
Front & back, S$3

$2

$3 - I have the exact same top, with white base, luv it haha

for sis, S$3

another one for sis, S$3

*have to buy min. 5 pcs to get the cheap prices*
Then we had satays at Kovan
pork & chicken satays

sugarcane with lime
We went to Plaza Singapura after that.
O & I bought a jacket for the Australia trip hee
Aiya forgot to take pic of jacket. Nvm, will have losta pics with that jacket in Oct hahaha

Today's Jess birthday
We had a nice lunch at Waraku - cuppage. I forgot to take pic :( too hungry to remember hahaha
Oh and Jess treated me *thanks Jess* :D
Just to remind my readers, Jess is my colleague and my only lunch partner (so when she's not around I (almost) always ask O to accompany me hee hee)

We both order the set menu, which is quite large. I had pork katsu with rice and soba noodle soup, it also came with a egg-potato salad. Yummy.

Err it seems like I'm always feasting.

Well, I just went to the gym and today's class was especially good!

I simply love food too much to give them up. I mean, I do want to be slimmer, but I simply can't give up good food. I myself can't understand how I could actually gave them up for a few months 2 years ago (when I was taking personal trainer sessions).
Now I exercise so that I can continue feasting and NOT become super fat. I'm only a few kg overweight lar :p O doesn't complain hee hee.. And at least nowadays I'm more to quality not quantity.
Oh and also to be healthy. Skinny doesn't mean healthy!

I think tomorrow is "lunch-with-O" day coz there's APAC franchisee's Forum going on until Friday and many many many people need to attend, including Jess.
I think those UK people are staying at the Fullerton!!! Coz the Forum is at the Fullerton... *envious*

Velvet dragon opening party
Err this is the 2nd time I received invitation by mail. 1st time was for Madame Wong's opening while I only been to the old one once, and I didn't leave any home address for sure!

Anyway, the invitation admits 4, thus O & I went with Osh (last Friday 8 Jun - and it was Grandpa's bday and I FORGOT TO CALL OMIGOD. Called him on Sat)

O & I went to Clarke Quay for dinner (after working OT for like 2 hours), wanted to try Cafe Iguana but the waiting time was 2 bloody hours!!!
We settled for a quick bite of pizza (nice, thin) at some Italian restaurant.

It was free flow from 9.30-10.30pm but the Q was quite long. I only managed 2 housepour (gin&tonic and bourbon&coke) but they were good, really strong liquor unlike other places.

Oh Velvet Dragon was previously Club Momo (went twice) revamped with Moulin Rouge theme. I didn't bring my camera but managed to take a pic with my phone (which is not good when dark).

There're cages and poles for people to dance. There were some models parading and exotic dancers dancing. The pic below looks like porn but no, the guy is not naked, he's wearing a super tiny swim trunks

At meridien bus stop

Sg river...

The pretty toilet

We had supper afterwards - so much for being on diet haha

I (we) realized we prefer going to a bar now. Aren't we getting older? Hee
Can't stand the loud music!

We're going to AUSTRALIA in Oct
Yay, O's leave is finally approved by his boss' boss today. I immediately submitted my leave application as well: 1-12 Oct. And mine, as usual, is approved on the spot *hee hee I have a nice boss* Woooo hooooo so excited!

I was quite fixed on buying SQ ticket *I LOVE SINGAPORE AIRLINES hee* because the promo price (S$2006 nett for 2 - it was S$1996 nett last week!) is about the same as other airlines but I seriously love SQ's service and seats and everything, so it's definitely a better choice (timing-wise as well).

But, now I'm checking British Airways website and tried searching for the ticket, if I wanna go SIN-MEL-SYD-SIN, Qantas price is S$2250 nett for 2 (yeah, searched on British Airways website but the result is flight by Qantas). Hmmmmmm

O is still working bloody hell.

You see, nowadays I can't create a SERIOUS blog. Even how serious I was, in the end it became light and crappy hahahahaha.

I guess it's because I've been 'running away' recently. I know I have a lot of serious thinking to do, but I just don't wanna do it now... Perhaps after my Lombok trip. Or even better, after Australia trip.

Gosh, the 1 Oct 9+ pm airtix is sold out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only left with 11.35pm

O! Please confirm leave by today!!!!!!!!!!

Have to buy ASAP and plan.

Human being
People are so different from one another. The more I grow old, the more it becomes obvious. I didn't remember finding any difficulty fitting into any group *oh well, I usually belong to the more active and more popular group. Don't get me wrong, but being in the school's basketball team and student union made me popular in a way - meaning people whom I don't know, recognize me. That and probably the fact that I have 4 bf in junior high and another 4 in senior high.
Oh and I was friends with the popular people - soccer team, volleyball team, the cheerleaders - you name it*

Where was I?

Oh the difficulty.
Not that I have any meaningful difficulty now. Only thing is, I tolerate lesser, I guess. My siblings and I are the example. We're totally different in (almost) every way. Even O and I are different too. But our way of thinking are more similar as compared to say, mine and my sis' OR mine and mom's.
Anyway, I brought this topic up because I simply can't understand WHY certain people do/did certain things. I'm not playing a blame-game here, I mean who am I to judge right or wrong, but I do not even want to try to understand nor try to say he/she is right.
I think I used to do that (tried very hard to understand other people and be agreeable all the time).

Err is that why I don't really have any friends now? HAHAHA isn't it pathetic?
But O has been my best friend since forever!!!
Well, 1st year in NUS I had 1 close friend, we grew apart (err more to: decided not to be close friends with clear reasons, I think). 1st year to 2nd year I have another close friend, we grew apart too. *Close friend as in: we went out together to movies, etc., but NOT ON A DATE, purely platonic, we shared stories/problems/happiness/etc.*

3rd year onwards, O is my close friend - then bf - then fiance - now hubby.

Osh is a close friend whom I meet occasionally.
*Oh btw Osh, I gave that box of condom (strawberry) to sis & Tiok hahaha*

Iyus is my best gal friend but she's so far away *sob*... no MSN at work can't chat anymore.
We meet like twice a year.

Karen is my close gal friend too but she's so far away too.
We meet like once a year.

My good friends are always so far awayyyyyyyy.

That's about it. The rest are usually a group of people (ex-colleagues) whom I meet occasionally. Of course, we've become friends, but we don't share as much.

Once my best friend was in Malaysia-then-Bandung then we lost contact. The last time I saw her was during my church wedding.

Another best friend was (is still) in Brisbane then we grew apart.

I used to find it easier to be friends with guys (in a platonic relationship) but it's actually hard to have guys as close friends when I was dating. And erm.. I was always dating. So...
*hey, at least I'VE NEVER EVER CHEATED ON any bf. AND I wasn't always the one who do the dumping*

In case you're wondering, O is my 10th and last boyfriend hee hee hee hee
AND, only 3 of my ex-bf are not in my friendster friends list and the reason is simply because they don't have any friendster account (I'm pretty sure) *see, I'm a friendly gal hahaha*.
1 out of the 3 is still in my group of friends whom I know since kindergarten. Oh, btw he's getting married this year.
Oh 3 ex attended my wedding :p
Another 1 would've attended but was out of town.

I'm totally OOT but I don't care, I don't think anybody read this crap entry HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Gatsby rubber wax TV commercial's song stuck in my head omigod
i... can give u gatsby... gatsby.. gatsby...

Pervy Boy

Marge and Andrew's band Pervy Boy performed at Cathay Cineleisure just now, 7.15pm, as part of SG Street Festival.
Osh, Angela, Fabi and I were there to support. O was WORKING LATE AGAIN although his office building is just across the street >.<

They're quite good, I've always liked Marge voice anyway (church choir friend).
But as always, band is a bit too loud that we can't hear the vocal too clearly. I can never 'get' band, anyway hee hee.

They're performing again this Sat 9 Jun, same place, 3.15pm
Dunno whether I'll be there again, they're singing the same songs...
But I'm gonna be in town though, sis & Tiok treating the wedding helpers to dinner buffet, 7pm, at Vienna, United Square.

Oh I went shopping yesterday
After Shrek 3 I needed to go to Lucky Plaza to meet Iyus' friend and pass her something for Iyus.
So we started walking towards Lucky Plaza, then I remembered about La Senza 50% off storewide I read on Cozy Cot, there's an outlet in Paragon.
On the way up to La Senza, I saw Miss Selfridge sale and decided to check it out (fortunately I did). I'm not a regular customer, only bought like 2-3 items before, long long ago.
I tried this dress and took this pic to show to O and asked him whether to buy or not to buy. It's S$36 btw, down from S$123. O said nice. I don't really need this kinda dress but it's really cheap though, I can always wear it to some church wedding or wedding dinner of not-so-close-friends. I mean, I like to wear long dress for close friend's wedding and I do have a pink long dress which I've never worn before and another pink long dress which I've only worn twice hee hee.

And i also bought this tube top, long-flare kind, only S$26 down from S$56

front

back
I feel lucky that I'm a bigger size gal as compared to regular Sg gals haha. The dress is size 12 and the top is size 10.
AND THEN.... there's additional 10% off with Citibank credit card, thus in the end, O paid for the above hee hee *thanks babe muach*

Oh and I still went to La Senza and bought a bra and I won't take pic nor will I mention my size hee hee. It's not really 50% off storewide, it says "selected items" but it does seem like storewide. Hmmm.. I think they do not display new arrivals.

I'm so bloated now, went to Jurong Superbowl for dinner and ate chicken & beef satay, rojak, chilli crab (not so nice), and brocolli. Oh and 1 and a half cup of sugar cane juice with lemon.

Note to self: Mira, please go to the gym twice a week. You're gonna be wearing bikini in 1 month 5 days AND running 4km on 1 Jul for the Milk Run 2007, that's in less than 1 month! *Haven't been running for a long time, been going to only classes (usually step & sculpt or step workout) instead of gym recently*

Shrek 3 and Black Angus

Yesterday O bought Shrek 3 ticket at Cathay Cineleisure during lunch time, it was for 6.35pm show. I was rushing work like mad to be able to catch it. Hee hee. So, we obviously had no time for dinner. Thus, jumbo hot dog and popcorn combo it is :p
After the movie I actually wanted to try Cafe Iguana (Mexican food) at Clark Quay but we were too hungry and tired. Then, I remembered there's a Modesto's at Orchard Parade Hotel, so we walked there. Beside's Modesto's was Black Angus! So in the end we settled at Black Angus. I've always wanted to try but somehow we didn't try before this. O's been there one for lunch with some guy.
The ambience (indoor) is quite nice. Outdoor too, but as usual Sg it too humid to do al-fresco!
We chose the sirloin & baby back combo. It came with this bread with cream thingy (margarine?? dunno.. anyway it's nice)

and this garden salad (luv the crouton!)

and tadaaa the MEAT. Medium rare sirloin, very nice baby back, we chose garlic mashed potato (& the garden salad), and the baby back came with coleslaw

mi want a flat!!!
*sigh* was so stupidly excitedly searching the 3-room flat details coz HDB just launched the monthly sale.
After we decided to ballot - although it's small but there're some high floor, town area, super cheap - I clicked on the procedures thingy and tadaaaaa

Buying a 3-room
Your gross monthly household income must not be more than $3,000.

(-__________-")

I haven't really been looking for a flat *that reminds me, a property agent called me 2 days ago but I was busy working.. hmm should I call her back?*. The "seller is always asking for S$30-40k above valuation a.k.a CASH" really put me off.

If you know anyone who's selling 4-room flat at around commonwealth to bukit merah, or bugis to kallang, at valuation, please contact me. I can buy ASAP, I can wait up to 10 months, I have enough CPF plus a S$30k grant (see, another reason to be a Sg citizen mwahahaha).
No need very high floor, I think 11-15 is OK, if have higher the better. Don't mind to consider 6-10 floor as well.
BUT flat must be new, not more than 10 years old...

I KNOW, I should tell all the above to some agent. But I don't feel the need now? Hoping for miracle ballot to happen? Ha!

Sigh...
Oh! MUST REMIND O TO ASK HIS BOSS ABOUT OCTOBER LEAVE. SQ 2-TO-GO PROMO IS SELLING FAST! NO MORE FLYING OUT ON WEEKEND! BLOODY O *BLEAH* ALWAYS TAKE SO LONG JUST TO ASK FOR SOME LEAVE.
