| O's colleagues |
O used to tag along when I go out with ex-WMG-ers, but now I'm the one who always tag along when he goes out with his colleagues hahaha. They're all not locals.
Last night we (O and I and 3 of his colleagues whom I've met 2-3 times) went to Din Tai Fung at Wisma Atria for dinner. Then we went to IndoChine for drinks (the one at Wisma Atria, outside Nude restaurant). The drinks were quite dilluted :( Oh and last night the late night shopping was on. Lucky for us, the MRT hours were extended ha!
As I posted before, I feel that we don't do enough interesting stuff and we only started doing it now. It's true. O's colleagues play tennis, rugby, martial art, etc. on the weekends. It's hard when people ask "What do you do on the weekends?". Well, at least the past few weekends we've been cycling, kayaking, jogging at the park, BBQ-ing, err that's about it?
This morning we decided to go to Jurong Superbowl area, we had late breakfast at McDonald's and we went to Sheng Shiong for some groceries. It sounds like very normal thing to do, but believe me it's very rare for us to reach any McDonald's early enough for the breakfast hahaha.
We've just played blackjack with.. some spa vouchers HAHAHA. It has S$20, S$30 and S$60 vouchers :p
Now gonna watch Ocean's Twelve DVD, going to church, and BBQ with his other colleagues (from previous project) at East Coast Park.
Have a nice weekend!Labels: food, movie / DVD |

| The Body Shop Warehouse Sale - savings of up to 70% |
Starting tomorrow! I'll be there on Sunday, in charge of crowd control. Don't ask. I have no idea what that means hahaha.
Not bad, I'll have 1 day time-off in lieu.
Should take it around 3rd week of April to color hair *if I can wait THAT long*

| Dinner with ex-WMG-ers |
Yes, another dinner haha... didn't take pics on the dinner 2 weeks ago. But today managed to take some.
Too bad Kai Ling and Shuhui were stucked at their offices. We had dinner at Waraku Cuppage. Nice big portion food. Super noisy restaurant. Luckily we were moved to a kinda VIP room. Otherwise sure can't chit chat... Karen, you see this yellow top, very similar with your pink one! Mine is from Pull & Bear, S$ 25.90 I've been trying to comb my hair straight, but it always turns out messy. In the end, I'm back to using some wax, but I don't make it as curly as before. You see, I badly need a haircut and some color!!! I think I'm gonna dye hair next month. Labels: food |

| Sometimes I just feel old |
I know I'm only 25 and I'm younger than most of my friends/colleagues. But I feel that ever since I turned 21 (or since I started working), life passes by very quickly. Last Friday I went out with O and his colleagues (joined them after they had some farewell dinner). We went to FLO at one fullerton, I had "walking on the peaches" some vodka peach mixed with some drinks, it was quite dilluted. But I didn't have any dinner, so I was eating mini pizza at the same time. Still, I turned red and felt slightly high. We then made a move coz it was too noisy to chit chat. We settled at Post Bar at the Fullerton Hotel, it was quite cozy, suitable to chit chat. I had a Lychee daiquiry (blended) and although I thought it wasn't that strong, I still felt dizzy afterwards. We left at 1am, walked to someone's car and were dropped off at City Hall to wait for a cab. Reached home at 2am and I felt totally "dead". On Sat I woke up quite late, but I felt hung-over. I'm not sure it was because I drank with empty stomach, or my alchohol-tolerance had been worse. Oh I just feel old.Labels: just mira, weekend/holiday |

| Life on Friendster |
Perhaps some of you (in Sg) have read the news about Friendster a few days ago (about the no. of people in Sg who are members, etc., it mentioned not only Friendster but My Space, MSN, etc.). Anyway. Yes, I'm one loyal Friendster user. Heavy user. Specially when I was unemployed on sabbatical. Actually ever since I joined Friendster in January 2004, I've always been active. It's a very good-yet-not-awkward way to keep in contact with friends and acquaintances. It's been a while since the people in "My Friends" list started posting wedding pictures, and now baby pictures are coming out, too (this has been happening for a while as well).
I forgot what was the purpose of this post (hubby came home in the middle of my typing). I think it's only because I've just browsed Friendster and saw more new wedding pics & baby pics. Anyway, congrats to all newly-weds and new parents.Labels: random |

| Kayaking |
Yesterday afternoon (in between Death Note DVD), we (me, O, tiok, cc, Yos) went kayaking at Jurong Lake and also played a while at the Jurong Lake Park's playground hee hee... Yes, there are a few things that adults can play :D
The kayaking was quite nice, though the area was a bit small... it's S$15 per boat/hour for adult, we took the double one (Yos, of course, took the single one haha (S$10/boat/hour for student). Too bad we didn't take any pic. Today my body's aching a lil'. At the playground, I realized that kids nowadays ARE AWFUL. There's this trampoline-alike-thingy and we were jumping on it a bit and there's this girl who said (angrily) to me "dun shake can" twice. And a boy who gave me 'the look' and said "dun jump". UGH. Hate those kids. We were amazed by this Indian guy, who swing very powerfully at this thing where you lift your hands up and grab the handles and swing (see the drawing for better understanding) I could only swing bloody THREE (3) times and that was very slowly hahaha

| New job |
So, I'm now a Regional Inventory Planner with The Body Shop International (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd, I know, such a long company name, right?
I'm amazed by the Caucasians - for I've never worked for one before. My manager (Regional Merchandise Manager)'s manager (that makes him err I don't know, Supply Chain GM or something - note to self: find out tomorrow), came over to me in the morning and said "You're Mira, right? I'm (name). Welcome" with a smile. The Supply Chain Director also came to my place and said hi and welcome. Wow, they're really warm people!!!!! And in the afternoon the GM asked so how was the 1st day etc.
Oh and my manager made sure (twice) that some colleagues took me out for lunch. (You know, I ate alone for the 2 days I worked at THAT company haha).Labels: the body shop |

OK, so my blog on friensdter is full. I can't bear to delete any post. So.
In conjunction with my being bored, we decided to go to the Esplanade today. There were some free performance at the councourse:
Zefanya Hartaniputra He's 12 and he plays jazz on the piano. He played his own compositions, too. COOL!
Nathan Hartono He's 15 and he's VERY CUTE and he sings jazz
They were both pretty good! And young!Labels: weekend/holiday |
